Financial Aid Office Policy

Cambridge College's Financial Aid Office provides financial assistance through the Federal Student Loan Programs (within federal guidelines) for direct costs to all eligible students. Direct costs include tuition, books, supplies, and transportation. We assist students to gain access to a quality education.

We are committed to you, to ensure that you understand your rights and responsibilities as a student loan borrower and to assist you in appropriate financial planning and debt management.

Federal aid programs available at Cambridge College include: The Subsidized Stafford Loan, the Un-subsidized Stafford Loan, The Perkins Loan Program, the Federal Pell Grant, the Federal Supplemental Education Opportunity Grant, and College Work Study. The P.E.P. and other help loans are also available.

Institutional scholarships are available and, like federal loans, are based on documented need. Scholarships at Cambridge College are credited to a student's account during the final semester of the master's degree program.

With the escalating cost of living expenses and education, borrowing through the student loan program has become a necessity. Since these are loan amounts that must be paid after you leave Cambridge College, you should have a realistic picture of what your maximum level of indebtedness will be upon graduation.

You are invited to visit our office or call (617) 868-1000, Ext. 137, 148,149,151 or 192 for an individual appointment. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, Friday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Saturdays by appointment only or click here to ask a question or request a Financial Aid package.

The Financial Aid office is located on the first floor of our building located at 1000 Massachusetts Avenue, Cambridge, MA USA 02138.

Best wishes for a successful school year.

Verification Policy and Procedure

Cambridge College students are expected to provide required documentation at the time of application for financial aid.

This policy is in compliance with federal regulations and the documentation should be submitted within one to two weeks of the request.

We recognize that sometimes it is necessary to contact outside sources for information needed, which could result in additional delays. If you can provide evidence of having made all efforts to obtain the necessary documentation, a longer period of time may be permitted; however, you must meet all other Cambridge College deadlines dates.

It should be noted that Cambridge College will verify information and documentation as required by federal regulations and that student aid is not awarded until appropriate documentation has been received.

It is our policy to give you, during the financial aid entrance interview, a clear understanding of the forms and documentation needed to complete your financial aid file.

If the submitted data fails to meet requirements, the Financial Aid Office will request additional information. After verification procedures are complete, if you are eligible for financial aid and upon your acceptance into the program, you will receive information regarding your eligibility status.

The institution is required by federal regulations to make referrals to the Department of Education and Department of Justice if it suspects that aid was requested under false pretenses. This institution takes very seriously the proper stewardship of federal funds and will cooperate with government agencies in the full prosecution of students who are found to have provided falsified information.
