English Camp |
 | ENGLISH CAMP is an annual two-week camp founded about 6 years ago by the Rye Bethany Church in Rye NH. Bethany Church assembles a 10-12-person team to go to Romania and teach English and the Word of God to about 60 Romanian College students. I had the privilege of being on their team last August. When I returned home I decided to build a website to remember my experience. I wanted to make it accessible to the Romanian students too so I built an upload page. Many students were able to visit an Internet Café where they could either e-mail their photos or directly upload them to me through the Library page. |

Military Innovation |
 | Military innovation is a response to a real or perceived disadvantage, an unexpected challenge to national or economic security, or the acquisition of resources. It is an invention of necessity. The combination of greater global interaction and access to sophisticated and lethal weaponry can rapidly upset regional balances of power. The ability to parlay factors like these into military innovation does not happen at consistent rates in individual countries or across regions.
This website took a holistic look at the conditions that generate military innovation, the essential attributes a country must possess, and the ramifications of successful innovation on regional dynamics and US national security.

Futures Panels |
 | The Futures Panels Program is designed to help the US Government increase its interactions with outside experts who can contribute alternative views on a variety of important issues. The panels organized for this effort will focus on strategic states that may affect future US interests. Over the course of the next year, the futures panels, one per country, will study a broad array of trends that affect that country's medium- and long-term future, as well as its relations with the United States. In general, the time periods under consideration will be 2001-2002 and 2002-2010.
